We recently had the wonderful privilege of interviewing Matt Markels wife Dana.
Talked with the guys of the TV show Secondary Emmisons who interviewed all the bands that came through the Ranch Bowl. Their footage is amazing.
Got to sit down with some of the dudes from Pomeroy. It was an awesome interview. Lunch Box Benny was brought up several times. If anyone knows where we can find Benny and his Lunch Box, please let us know.
It was cool talking to these dudes. Tony Prodywus on the left and Jeremy Kellner on the right. They ran an awesome cable access show taped at the Ranch Bowl called Freakout. They have great footage of a ton of local bands.

In 1978 Matt Markel purchased The Ranch Bowl which would play home to three bars, a bowling alley, a radio station, and a recording studio on top of its performance stages. The venue went on to host the likes of Pearl Jam, Green Day, 311, The Smashing Pumpkins, Red Hot Chili Peppers and dozens of more acts of equal notoriety mere months before the bands would become world famous.

Bowling With The Biggest Bands In The World: The Story Of The Ranch Bowl is a documentary currently in production about this legendary music venue.
